Can I use NDIS or My Aged Care funding?

Often, yes. BigPurplePhone is listed Assistive Technology and can be funded through NDIS, Home Care Packages, CHSP and the new Support at Home program. See how funding works, or call us and we'll help with the order.

Will my loved one find it easy to learn?

BigPurplePhone is designed for people who find modern smartphones hard to use. The big buttons sit in one simple line, contacts are shown as photos, and they can speak a message instead of typing. If they get stuck, our Australian support team is here 5 days, 9–5 on 1300 206 306.

Can I manage the phone for them from my own phone?

Yes. With the Remote Carer Website, family can look after the phone for the person using it, such as adding contacts and setting medical reminders. Our team can also help remotely, and if the phone is lost we can locate it (while it is turned on) or pause the SIM.

How does the SOS button work?

There is a red SOS button at the top right of the screen. When it is pressed, the phone starts a 10 second countdown so an accidental press can be cancelled. Then up to 4 emergency contacts get a notification with a map link to their location. They can still dial 000 from the normal dial pad at any time.

What's the difference between SilverFox and SilverFox+?

SilverFox+ has the same home screen, big buttons, SOS button, secure callers list and Carer Website as SilverFox. The difference is the hardware: it is tested to MIL-STD-810H, rated IP68 and IP69 for water resistance, and has Dolby Atmos® stereo speakers, a 6.67" pOLED screen and a larger battery with fast charging.
